Dwayne Humphrey is an experienced professional in marketing, management and business development. With a career that spans 30 years, he is highly respected throughout the industrial community, both domestically and internationally. At Hughes Training, Inc. (a subsidiary of Hughes Aircraft), Dwayne served as EVP/GM managing over 3000 employees. He also managed all aspects of global marketing and business development for the company.
Dwayne played a major role in the simulation development of the manned space program for the National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA). He was involved in the training of all the Gemini, Apollo and Skylab efforts as well as early shuttle missions. Upon leaving the space program, he was involved with the airline industry and the development of simulation and training for the U.S. Military.
Now the Vice President of Business Development for Ashland, Dwayne’s broad range of experiences add depth to Ashland’s hallmark qualities of professional client relationship development, effective and efficient service delivery, and maintenance of an extensive network of tax recovery, accounting and business experts.
A graduate engineer of the University of Houston School of Engineering, Dwayne currently sits on advisory boards for the School of Engineering of the University of Texas at Arlington, the School of Electrical Engineering and The Center for Greater Southwestern Studies and History of Cartography. He is also the Vice President and a board member of an independent living organization for handicapped young adults.
